The smooth, matt blue-grey berries of this berberis contrast perfectly with the small, glossy foliage. It's just berberis, but always worth a closer look.

Oh 😳 - darn it! Just realised I cut the stem off on mine where the flowers were (it's just a young bush and it was growing at a strange angle). I guess I'll have to wait for next year to see these now.
