Rhododendron (Rhododendron Varieties)

#plantsurgery ok so whats up with this? Half the plant has droopy leaves and buds that won't open. Other half healthy. Was in a pot, took it out to check roots. Seem fine. No vine weevil grubs. Now planted out and fed. No change 😩👎

Buds look like they are infected with bud blast, a fungus that attacks the buds and leaves at times, best advice is to remove the infected older browner buds will have small fruiting bodies sticking out of them

Thanks Thomas @thomasdstone ! I've already pruned out the worst affected branches so I'll remove a few more and spray it with fungicide into the bargain. 👍

Make sure you clean pruners each cut. Boytritis can affect the whole plant. Infection could have started in stem. Cut back any wilted stems and spray with a fungicide approved for boytritis @missiscook
