Gardening is like cooking. To improve, you need to be willing to make mistakes and experiment. Also, common names are garbage. Zone 9b, West Sac, CA.

It's been a frickin' easter egg hunt for days. I've been putting them in bags and giving them to my neighbors. 17Aug2021 #passionfruit #gyo

One among a second, much larger wave of #passionfruit blooms, promising a fall harvest of #lilikoi. 3 Oct 2020 (#PassifloraEdulis)

I was under the impression that it would take 1-2 years--not a few weeks--before this #Frederickpassionfruit would bear fruit. Not complaining. (Note: This is the same fruit that I featured on July 8.) 6Aug2020 #gyo #foodforest

You won't have to scroll too far down to see what this #FrederickPassionFruit looked like as a flower. A vigorous self-pollinator, the showy flowers give way to very large fruit that are greenish-purple (sometimes turning red) that, once ripe, have a sweet tangy flavor. This is one of the most reliably cold hardy #passionfruit varieties, surviving well into Zone 9. 8July2020 #lilikoi
