Russian Giant sunflowers grow to about 10 feet in height..how come my one is 3 foot and open and the is about 12 inches!!!!???

Mine too, but I thought it was because of letting the seedling get leggy, and barely full sun

Many different sizes. All sunflowers come from US except 3 in S. AM. A russian took seeds back to russia and bred the giant flowers from our kansas sunflower @Mommygoncrazee

I have several mammoths that grew and flowered at about 6 inches in height! strange, most grew up to be huge but still some stayed small and look like zinnias!
