Citrus limon syn. Citrus x limonia

Today I've taken drastic action. My lemon tree has been nothing but a disappointment over the last few years. Each year, lots of flowers appear, and then one by one they drop off. After watching the God that is known as Monty, I now know that watering it along with other plants in the greenhouse wasn't what it needed. So, I've pruned it right down and starting again. Oh, and I bought a new plant while I wait for this one to behave 🍋

Yeh I watched with interest about the lemon tree..I have one similar size to yours I have one lime in it at the moment and a lot of flowers ( the lime has been on since last oct) so nursed it thru winter..but I also now know I have been watering it wrong! @mrsburns

I can only see the two flowers @Sandie-rimmer72 . It's shoved in the corner in my greenhouse. So I wouldn't be surprised if there were more 😀

Mine was bought me for mothers day 2 years ago. It stands in my garden room. The smell in a morning when I open the door makes me look after it I tittle the flowers with paint brush, don't know if it works but I get fruit . Plus I like lemon tea xx

You were right @Sandie-rimmer72 . If the lemon tree is indoors, it needs help to pollinate. Mine is in the greenhouse. I know the bees have been in there but haven't seen what they've been up to in there. So I've just been in the greenhouse with a new make-up brush, tickling the flowers. 😄. I hope I got to them in time. There isn't much left of the flower. Only the middle stem bit. So fingers crossed 🙏🏻

My lemon tree has made it through the winter in the greenhouse. I took Monty Dons advise last winter and left it there instead of moving it indoors. No sign of any buds yet but there's plenty of new growth.

So far they are between 2" -4" tall , i have young date palms also .

I've got a packet of strawberry sweet corn seeds @ontheskyline . Haven't got a clue what they are, but keep chickening out of planting them.
