Acer palmatum

Does anyone know what has happened to my Maple? All of the leaves have gone brown shrivelled and died ☹️ will it recover next year? We have had a lot of rain and not much sun??

I'm not sure about your acer but mine has done the same and it's because the sun gets to it, it does recover or mine has, but I'm going to try and move mine to a more shady area @nickinairn

We had the tree surgeon out to quote for our beech tree and he's confirmed its dead. No sap in the branches at all. He says it happens sometimes and we will never know why 😢 @raregold71

Acers need lots of regular water if its nots consistantly watered the leaves often go crispy & dry. Mine looked like that last year since I've put it near the river where it gets watered every day or 2 &it's lovely & healthy now 😊
