These little ladies have been beautiful all summer long. #bedding-dahlia I am now collecting seed and will hopefully find tubers to keep for next year as well.

Your dahlias are gorgeous! I've never planted any because they would need lifted in the fall here. But I'm so jealous, your photos make me think they're worth the effort!!

@gjones Hi. I do both actually. To keep the border looking it’s best and to encourage more flowers for the first two months, I cut off finished blooms and put them in the greenhouse in a container of water. Once September comes I leave them on the plant to dry out naturally before collecting them. I only have a 50% success rate with the first ones as some rot rather than dry out.
