I am over run with blue bells, how do they get all over when I haven't planted them, tried digging them up and they are so deep down that it's very difficult

Fabulous. I've come to the conclusion mine are Spanish ones. Have pink and white ones too. Love them, just a blue haze through my frosted window next to front door ❤❤❤❤

Spanish Bluebells are more vigorous than our native and will hybridise with them. This is a problem as crossbreeding dilutes the unique character of our native Bluebell. One way to identify whether a Bluebell is native or Spanish is to look which side of the stem the flowers are. If they are mostly on one side and distinctly drooping or nodding at the top then it's most likely a native 🙂
