Good morning everyone 🤗 this tree grew from a seed five years ago. This is the first time it has tiny flowers, so maybe weāll have some fruit from it 😋 (the mother tree is still giving out fruit and seeds by the way) #loquat #loquattree #seed-grown #seed-tree
Morning Rula, how lovely that you may get some fruit next year 😍😍
Oh yes, 🤞 the flowers get pollinated 😊
Impressive 🤩🤩👏
Morning Rula🙋 congratulations on the first flowering 👏🌸🌸🌸
Thank you Katy 😍 these are easy to grow and very quick .. and the fruit tastes great .. maybe Iāll save you some seeds this year 😄 @gjones
Hey, Jane 💚 I hope they get pollinated .. it was only last year a meter and a half tall. Now itās two meters with flowers. I love how quickly it progressed 😄💚 @pelly
Me too Jeff. Wouldnāt be nice to have two fruit trees instead of one 😁😁 specially that I love the fruit in summer 😋 @jeatacake
Thank you Sue 💗 It seemed to stop growing for a while there but it was preparing a big surprise 😄 @suerichards
Hey Natalia💗 thank you so much 😊 I hope by summer I would be celebrating the first fruit 😋😁 @RedFuchsia
Oh wow marvelous healthy loquat... Healthy fruits will be insha'Allah. 😀 @sabbanrula
Thank you Muhammad 😊 I love eating loquats so Iāll be happy about any fruit that we get 😋 @muhammadabbas
Finally the young #loquat #tree #fruit are ripe a week after the mother tree. But this itās first time so it must be a bit shy 😋😋 #loquattree #loquats orangefruit #juicy #sweet #gyo-tree #gyo #grownfromseed
Oh they will be delicious 👍😊
Well done growing them from seed. You know I have admiration for such feats! 😁
Amazing Rula. I have one too but itās small and hasnāt fruited before. Do you eat them off the tree or do you use them in recipes. Iāve never tasted them. 🤩
Thank you Jane 😍 I know they will be delicious but I was surprised to see them more round shaped than the mother treeās fruit but still a nice surprise 😄😋 @pelly
Thanks Jeff āŗļø Oh yes, we tend to wait very long for so little growth but itās amazing when they finally show the results. I honestly wasnāt expecting fruit from the first flowering year but I love a good surprise 😋😄 @jeatacake
It's a great reward for your patience. How many years is it from sowing the seed?
Thank you Phil 🧡 Mine is only 5 years old and this is the sixth. I usually cant wait and just eat them off the tree and whatever I canāt reach or donāt get to soon enough is eaten by the birds 😁 They flower on the tips of branches in autumn if that helps. If you prune them regularly they wonāt flower and if the winter frost gets to them they wonāt produce. I donāt know if it helps but your climate seems similar to our so thereās no reason why they wonāt produce in the near future @philstalder
This one is a very quick grower and easy maintenance if you just give it water and food every once in a while 🌱 It only took five years to flower and bear fruit unlike walnut and avocado trees that make you wait forever 😄 @jeatacake
Thanks Rula. Good to know. 😀
That is fast & very impressive. I'm not sure if I've ever tried the fruit, but they look good 😋💛
Do you think they grow well in Thailand too? If you find them in the market you should give them a try Jeff but then again home grown is so mch better 😄🤣 @jeatacake
