I could be totally wrong, but I’m not sure this is a mammillaria gracilis fragilis. I for sure think it’s a mammillaria, but this height that even the pups are reaching seems uncharacteristic of the gracilis. I’ve never seen them do this, and mine haven’t either (doesn’t mean anything though). The tubercles are also quite protruding. I’m thinking it may be a mammillaria elongata of some kind, but it could just be a strange gracilis too. 🐶

These are my thimbles, Benny & The Jets. The Jets fell off of Benny, but they are doing very well on their own. Benny needs constant turning because he leans into the sun so quickly. #cacti #thimblecactus #mammillaria-gracilis-fragilis
