@levalar they are rocks I have picked up on beaches. I think these were from Oregon. I picked up lava rock that was similar in Hawaii.

I like that idea😄😄. Can I ask a question. I read somewhere that you should have drainage holes for all cactus plants. So do you in this rock, somehow?@smileeguy
@hammerhead yes, ideally you should. Rock is semi-porous. So it should let some water out. I am going to see how they do. The pots I have that don't have drainage, I add rock and horticultural charcoal in the bottom. Then I am careful with the watering.
