@cyndi I’ve been trying to figure out what this plant is. I too am skeptical about it being an umbrella tree... from what I’ve seen they tend to have longer leaves like my other plant? This plant doesn’t flower, that’s all I’m certain about. Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated!
I don't think it's an umbrella tree but im🤔 what it is!💘😍
Nearly Everyone in our community has them planted in their landscaping and no ones has ever flowered. Some of the homes have been here for 3 years and our neighbor said they’ve asked the workers and they stated they don’t flower. Not sure why they couldn’t just state what kind of plant it is if they know that fact 😞
If you get yours to flower your neighbors will be jealous tee hee hee
Certain that it's not an umbrella tree. It does resemble a gardenia, although I don't have any of my own! Thanks for the tag @cyndi, let's ask some other brilliant people! @lovestogarden @treefrog44 @tinaaune @mrsflowerpot @gjones @GREENFINGERSLTD @honestgreensco @joanboston @richard.spicer.7906
@cyndi I will spray some neem oil and pinch off the bad leaves. I have an irrigation drip line by all of the plant bases. Should I water it more? Also, what kind of feed should I give it? Thanks for the tips! Oh and I’m not sure if it’s a native shrub or not. I really am hoping it turns out to be a gardenia because that’s actually one of the plants I’ve been looking into recently to plant outside our home.
@cyndi I’ll dig around tomorrow (too many mosquitos out right now lol). I’m in zone b, West Central Florida, USA. It rains a lot here but it also gets super hot to dry things up. I’ll go ahead and do the fertilizers and salt ASAP too. I’m so happy I discovered this app! I’m already loving it and how the community is so helpful :)!
Laurel??? Spots look fungal from excessive moisture
Looks like japanese privet hedge, not sure tho lots of plants look similar..japanese privet with have white flowers tho
Thanks for the tag @KariSamuel definitely not an umbrella plant, if you are in Florida, wax ligustrum plants are used heavily in landscaping. That's what it looks like 😉 @sbart
Thank you @KariSamuel for the compliment and tag and Stephanie, Welcome! Sorry, I do not know the correct ID. 🤔
