This is as christmassy as I'm getting at the moment. Had this #poinsettia since Dec2013. It almost died this summer and needed a rather extreme cut back and feed only for it to grow these lovely red leave! Long may it continue! #xmas #plantrevival #bahhumbug

Poinsettia from December 2013 - - almost 4 years old! Went back to a stump after we forgot to water it but it's come back lovely! Scared to put in dark room to get red leaves. Just for you @richard.spicer.7906 🙂

Amazing! Great work on bringing it back. Yeah, I'm not too sure how to get it red. Think I better do some research! I'll let you know how I get on.
My Poinsettia from xmas 2013 - repotted about 6 months ago after having to cut it right back and loves it in my north facing downstairs loo window 😍😍 #poinsettia #notjustforxmas #houseplant
Looking good 👍🏼 I have a three year old one but never got it to red again as I didn’t follow the technique last autumn. Will try this year perhaps, it’s hard when none of my rooms in the house have complete darkness for too long. How do you do it?
It's a bit of a fluke to be honest. The back of our house is totally North facing and in the shade. We have a small downstairs loo at the end of our extension with a 1.5ft by 1ft window in it and it sits on that window ledge. Water it every couple of weeks and only fed it recently for first time since repotting about 6months ago. Just been lucky I think 😊 @richard.spicer.7906
