Are they definitely ornamental not edible? If they're edible you could make a delicious lamb & quince tagine or quince crumble. But if they're not edible I don't want you to get ill!
Yes that's right. It's high in pectin so people make jelly, jam or membrillo to go with cheese as well. Delicious. But I love the lamb tagine or quince crumble (or with apple or pear) in particular. 🤗
You don't need one! You can make it in a casserole or Dutch oven. Apologies to any Brits reading this - Dutch oven means something totally different in the UK(!)
Well I am going to look that up @susieg. Thanks for the #tip #recipe and I'm not even going to ask what "dutch oven" means in the UK. It is slang for something rather unpleasant here too. 😨🙈🙉🙊
I thought these were apples, but now I'm not sure. They are growing oddly on the tree. #plantid #advice
Ornamental quince @SikoMa cheanomoles
Thank you SO MUCH @carolgs 🤗🤗🤗

I've always known them to be ornamental as they are so hard but when I googled them it says you can use them for cooking etc @susieg
I did Google it, and says tart but can be used for cooking and jams etc. @susieg
