I thought so too @gjones, but I know nothing about rhubarb. I do know it grew and produced all summer last year, and I literally did nothing to it. I did not see it until we cleared some of the "jungle" we call a side garden.

I always pull the seed head's out. They take energy away from the plant.

Don't move them unless you have to! They love being left alone, and undisturbed at all costs! ...... Ok, one of mine is a root section, (dug up chunk) from 1994!! - I grabbed it - along with other favorites - when I left my first husband! I stripped our acre of MY plants... 😒😨🙁
