Help me identify this plant

First spring in a new house/garden. Found loads of these growing in a shaded area I was planning to plant. Any ideas what they are? Triffids?

Looks like Rheum palmatum a really handsome plant for a damp shady spot .. like a mini Gunnera 👍🙂 it's leaves similar to Rhubarb as in the same family, very jealous if it is Steven

Thanks, looks like I don't have to plant that area now. I'll have to wait and see what comes up.

Oh dear, I thought it was Rhubarb @icedance @stebeegeebee 😂😂😂

Not far off jane @pelly 👍 it still could be ? Same family and very similar leaf , but given the position and number of plants I suspect it is Rheum, as Steven says good to wait and see and then make a decision 😊

Always good to let a new to you garden do its stuff for a while Steven 👍 you never know what treasures might be lying beneath 😃
#rhubarbcrumble #gyo. #gardenelf number one decided he want custard, cream and sprinkles!
Sounds delicious - except the sprinkles !!
Well why ever not number one elf 💙
