I live in the Shoalhaven area of NSW Australia. I love the garden and all of the wildlife that it attracts. Especially the birds.

It looks like ravenous yellow lips just waiting to gorge themselves on unsuspecting humans.

My two are still in its from Christmas --- I have " lost " so many when I put them in the garden . What's the secret to keeping them growing ??#sue1953

@whitesusan my poinsettia was taken from an established plant not the Xmas potted variety. Poinsettia are early winter bloomers in Australia. It is growing in a warm protected position along the back fence. It does get affected by the cold and wind once winter really sets in as they need a tropical climate to really thrive.

@brightcolours 😱😱😱 nooooooooo. Anyway they look better in a cheap red/gold pot and sold by the hundreds in our supermarkets at Xmas time, only for nearly everyone to kill them around February. @sue1953 healthy looking plant - well done!
