Went out after dinner and raked away the autumn leaves that were covering up my prickly pear patch. Long past time to get them some more sun and air flow. And I found FLOWER BUDS!! 30 May 2020 #easternpricklypear #opuntiahumifusa #succulents #nativeplant #native #cactus #pricklypearcactus #pricklypear

These are growing in some shade behind a big yew bush, and I thought they'd never have enough sun to make new growth, but I was wrong!!! I'm so proud of my native cacti! Go Spiky bois! #easternpricklypear #opuntiahumifusa #newgrowth

The new house has #native #pricklypear in the front yard! 😍💚🌵 It looks saggy and soggy because it's winter and rainy. And it is unfortunately growing on the shady side of a giant yew bush. In the spring I plan to move some cuttings to a sunnier spot. 25 Jan 2020 #opuntia #easternpricklypear #opuntiahumifusa
