Thanks @flof1952 @happycanuck and @involve. When I've looked on photos this seems to be a flatter shrub than a broom, more ground based? I have a forsythia buy this is different! If only I'd kept the label! Thank you!
Looks a bit like winter jasmine -Jasminum nudiflorum
