With little knowledge, I'm slowly turning an acre field into a garden! This is my first gardening attempt, so there's such a lot to learn! 🐝🦋🌻

@SylviaDavies Another beautiful vista. Spotted the Welsh lamb in the background. Always believed Scotland had the best views in the UK but maybe I was a little bit biased & will have to think again 🤔

@karyn no not really! I have some seeds if you want to try them. Will pop some in the envelope 😃

Aww that's really nice of you!!! Thank you. Do they like the sun? As where I would put them is more sun than shade? It's the same place I'm going to plant the poppies 😍😍💕💕

Most of my garden is in sun to be honest but try them and see. I just stuck seeds straight in the ground and they have taken! Singer self seeded onto a cover matting last year and have rooted there so they are easy! Try and see! 😃

Thanks @rxsie! It's going to become a bit crammed as things mature but much better than the rugged bulbous grass that was there previously! Getting there slowly!

What colour lupins this year I wonder? Is it true that if they seed you don't know what colour you will get?

9w
comment
gardengimp

They look very healthy! Well done

9w
comment
SylviaDavies

@gardengimp planted them .I think into the borders from seed! They seem to be self propagating now!

9w
comment
SylviaDavies

Wps that went as I was editing! I planted then direct into the border!

9w
comment
gardengimp

Wow! Its exciting to see what colour they'll be. Seem to remember their natural colour is purple. Maybe they revert back? Not such a bad thing ;) mine never go to seed, I always chop them at the first sign of going to seed, to force more flower production.

Another plant I don't seem to have much luck with. Don't know whether my south west garden is too damp for them .

Hut123456789

We've found that if there grown on the boarder at the back of the garden they die ( to hot ) but if there grown in the semi shade boarder they do very very as long as there roots are kept damp & there feed well lupins are my absolute favourite plant hope that helps @junebensted 😍😍😍
