Can u help me @SylviaDavies pls My daughter has a knot weed and has been told it will cost £1,300 to get rid of it as it will damage her home. It's a very contained bush though,it doesn't appear to be invasive I'm thinking she's been very misinformed ? Any info would be very appreciated !

Hi #avaethan I just came across your comment. A friend had a similar problem, your daughter wasn't misinformed. It is an extraordinarily persistent and resistant plant. It can make its way up through concrete. You can't put it into compost or green bins as it can spread from there. There is a lot about it online, It cost millions to clear the Olympic site in London before anything could be built there. Hi there are different ones I think, but I'm no expert. I bought this from a national trust gardens and paid for it! Apparently the Japanese knotweed is different, as it is very invasive that's all I can tell you sorry! 😢

It's a beautiful plant if you have the right spot for it and it generally needs to be a large spot!
