So I guess this is year 6! Hard to believe. Still taming 2.5 acres of countryside after a life lived in the city.
The #stump in the middle of the front lawn is turning out to be not quite so dead... No idea what kind of #tree it is though? #plantid

Hmmm not sure thought they had smaller leaves but might look different in person. I'm wondering if it's hazel - it would cause suckers like that if it was chopped
A distinguishing feature of ash is the black buds, apparently, which this definitely had, so going with that. @Mikekally
