It would have been a great bargain but as you say this does give glorious colour . Mine puts on a stunning show 🙂 although it's no where near where yours is at .. much chillier here ❄️
@icedance I cheated a bit and put in inside under my huge grow light in the spare room. Just hardening it off slowly now. Any tips for success with it? Feed etc?
Ooh sneaky .. nothing really , they prefer a sunny spot for the best colour, one word of warning if you put it in the ground, pruning can make it start to sucker prolifically so you can get them popping up all over ! This is ok as long as you know and can rip them out 🙂
Pretty sure it's an Acer - got it for £2 in November when it was a twig in a pot. Getting leafy now though!

Hi Tom that looks very much like a Sumach tree to me they go down to a trunk/twig in winter then put out stem like leaves very much like this
