🐜 🐜 🐜 on Peony. Apparently they don’t do any harm. Just do an honest days work of protecting the flower from flower eating insects in return for some yummy nectar. This has almost 30 buds on it this year! It was early June last year when it flowered. May be earlier this year. #wildlifewednesday

The ants eat off the sticky stuff so the bud can open

No shortage of flowers on this but need to get a grid thing to support them next year as they got a bit flattened by recent rain and wind. 9th June, 2019
