Was thinking that #acers don't get many photos this time of year so here's one of my large ones. I've been out in the garden watering, staking, cleaning out the birdbaths, deadheading and deadleaving (if that's a word but I was taking old scruffy leaves off the bananas) for the last 3 hours and couldn't be happier ☺☺☺

So satisfying ☺

Stunning one Julie, do you know best time of year to shape these as I want to take a couple of bottom branches of one of mine but I know you have to be careful due to them bleeding is it best in dormant time? 🤔

Very pretty! The leaves are so intricate on acers aren't they 💕🍁

I've got a few and love them all @susieg I need a really dark feathered leaf one and then maybe I'll stop buying them .. for a while 😁

The one I posted earlier is very dark burgundy when not burning red. I have two in pots either side of a step and they look lovely. I can definitely recommend the darker ones. 🍁💕🍁💕

I've looked at viridis @hayleyaj and I can't see one with pink tips but it looks fairly similar ☺

Same here, I've had most of mine for years @rachelbrooks 😂 I go round garden centres looking for similar plants 😁
