I’m finding it has quite a growth spur in late autumn, have you noticed that too Julie? I fear mine will get caught by frosts but it always comes back from the base.

Yes I have noticed that @richard.spicer.7906 I protected mine last year with a fleece bag and although it looked rubbish, it wasn't cut to the ground 😉

Thanks for the tip Julie 👍🏼 would love to try keeping mine going for a second year rather than growing from base again. Have you had yours flower before?

I've got some #hidden-gems who are doing their thing slowly but surely behind the the madness of the dahlias. Just taken a few pictures to update my library of photos on here so just ignore me for the next 10 minutes 😀 #honeybush

Mine is slow too, but hoping bit flowers next year, if it survives the winter!

Wouldn't be without this, I bet it looks great behind your dahlias. Great for coastal gardens (not than mine is a coastal garden) and the leaves when you rub them smell of peanuts. So I have renamed it Smellianthus #apnc @rachelbrooks 😆

Had to look at #apnc tags to work out what it meant 😂 Can we have another club ? #pnics #plant-names-I-cant-say For instance only after watching Monty did I realise superbum was pronounced superb um rather than super bum 😂😂😂 @clipperty

Definitely Julie 😂😂 For me that was cotoneaster - much prefer 'Cotton Easter' - It's a minefield...Maybe @ukgardentags should do a day dedicated to #apnc and #pnic hahaha @rachelbrooks xxx

Lol girls! 😂 I think I'll always still say super bum Julie and a day specially for alternative and unpronounceable names is a great idea! Although you'd have to go a long way to beat Claude's hybrid... 😂😂 @clipperty

Yay!!! Love them! Mine are doing so well, grown from seed. Not sure how they got the name #honeybush as they smell like raw meat! But look amazing and just keep on growing!! 💜💚👍👏😂

I had a few of garden related items ... Can't think why @gailybob 🤔 one of my clients gave me a half moon edging tool and gardening gloves ☺ Got a tray of pansies and a skimmia from the mother in law, foxtail Lily bulb from my daughter and the melianthus major and clematis were extra pressies off my other half as well as a trendy woolly hat for gardening in 😂😂😂
