Could also be #echium you will be able to tell quite easily once it flowers.
Hi Robbie, spot on! My friend who gave it to me did tell me when she gave it to me, but I just couldn't remember! The flowers are starting to emerge along the stem, and it's growing about an inch a day, about 6 ft now! Thanks for your help :)
