Dactylorhiza fuchsii, Common Spotted Orchid

An attractive plant with a spire of pale pink flowers blotched with dark purple and with narrow, usually dark spotted leaves. Dactylorhiza fuchsii can range from 15 to 60 cm in height. The dense flower spikes, produced in mid-summer, is at first conical then becomes cylindrical.

'Binkie' is an historic cultivar from the Large Cupped group of daffodils. It is a single headed variety which changes colour as the flowers mature. It starts off with a dark lemon cup and outer petals, which then fade to white in the centre with a yellow rim and soft lemon outer petals.
