Impatiens glandulifera

Himalayan balsam

Impatiens is a beautiful annual that provides colourful flowers to enliven beds, borders, window boxes and tubs throughout summer and into early autumn. Impatiens like shade and moisture. If wilted, they quickly recover back into shape after watering. 'Glandulifera' is a tall growing variety which is considered an aggressive weed. It can smother other plants and take over an area quickly if not removed.
