FLF progress 😁

My #fiddleleaf has grown new leaves again, and for the first time this morning I woke up with the new leaves drooping - what a sad sight! 😫 I realized that I haven’t watered it so I gave it a good soak, it has perked up again so I’m hoping it did not get stressed out by my forgetfulness! No leaf dropping pls! 😬

@lalovelavidaloca in manila you can find some sa quezon memorial circle, but they are much cheaper outside of manila, like Tabang Bulacan plant nurseries ☺️ price will vary based on size variety and quality, so the range is 250-1500 and more...

While I was away, it grew two new leaves, one of which grew so much bigger than the others! I guess I wasn’t fertilizing it as often as I should have? 🤷🏻‍♀️ #fiddleleaffig #philippines

The new leaves that grew earlier Feb are setting into a darker green color now. Can’t wait to see them grow bigger! 😍 I do hope this plant survives the harsh summer heat! It is getting quite warm now at 33c/91F during midday, and its not even summer yet.

@gjones during summer our temperatures may reach an extreme of 38c but the “heat index” or the “human discomfort index,” colloquially dubbed “init factor,” is the temperature people feel, as opposed to the temperature measured by a dry-bulb thermometer.. those can reach 44c. it is dangerous to people and plants def! Ive never grown a FLF until this year so im bracing myself for moving all my plants indoor when we reach peak temps here!

#FLF update: i water once a week and it’s been doing pretty good since I repotted to this container 4 wks ago. hurrah!

I just gave my fiddle leaf a nice bath by wiping the leaves as it has become dusty. It might kill the “design conscious” to know that I am using a bucket with holes bore into it as its pot. Still searching for a new home, not sure what size though for a baby tree of this height. 🤔🌱
