Hi all, these #hostas are almost 25 years old. I've never split them but I think I should 🤓💚💚💚

You'll have a lot more plants so provable worth it doing it!👍...I'm considering doing the same with some of mine this year too x

No they don't look worse but they're getting too big for that spot. I have to be careful pushing the garden wheelie bin past them. @jpea

I used to tie them and then was told you shouldn’t do that…

I just deadhead them and wait! My mum used to tie them but I don't know why 😄 @pelly @Auricula One thing gardening teaches is patience (although I've deadheaded my Hydrangeas! 😆)

Day 6 of the #hostachallenge These are my oldest Hostas - must be 20 years old 💚 There's 3 in a row along the path - which when it rains, sometimes floods - perfect for the Hostas! I think I'm right with the ID but correct me if I'm wrong 😄

It’s definitely an albomarginata, Ange, but Thomas Hogg is a sport of the original so I suspect yours is the older plant. Either way they’re very similar and very beautiful 💚 Yours is in the perfect place, too 👍

It looks like Hosta undulata var. Albomarginata, Ange 🤔 but don’t quote me until you’ve checked it online and compared your plant with the photos you find!!!🤞😘
