#treetuesday An apple tree we have just received from the Council's Free Tree Scheme (having a drink before we plant it) (the tree, not me!!😛)😀🌳🍏🌳 I love the shape of it 🍷 like a goblet 😁
They have been doing this for quite a long time. Lucky really. This is our 4th tree in as many years - already have an apple, plum and pear. Not entirely sure where this one will go! 🍐🍎🍆😂 @pelly
You should do! 😂 I'm sure I read they had been doing it for about 15 years. They sometimes give out seeds too at the same time but I didn't get those this year @pelly
It's West Lancashire District Council. They let you know in the local paper when to apply, which you do online. This year we could choose Bramley apple or Plum. A few weeks later they email to say if you have been successful. We have had one each time we've applied. We pick them up from a local garden centre. You have to live in the district & the tree has to be planted in the district. If you need any more info, let me know. Good luck ☺ @pelly

What a great idea, I can't see our Council doing anything like that!! 🙄🙄

I think I’ll email our Council and tell them what yours does!! 😂😂
What a fabulous idea, wish more councils would do that.

You should email your council Sue like Jane @lilybee @pelly 😁
Will do Ange, thanks.
Which is your Council Ange, then I can tell mine to check it out? 🤔🤔
