Sadly lost this old apple tree to the winds but looked pretty with clematis and deserved remembering. Replacement in and doing well, if only 4ft !

@mrsrinhergarden thank you. Unfortunately took out his equally pretty partner when he went. Stumps dug out and reunited behind pond for wildlife but must stop giving them personalities 🌳🌳

@natii aww thanks Natti, hopefully it will teach me some patience watching the new ones grow. I will however be accepting apple pie donations from summer onwards 😊🥧

Same thing happened in one of my old gardens, not sure the out of control clematis helped much... this was before I had any gardening knowledge 🙄

@anne8691 yes, it was an early set back for me too, looking back maybe I should've thinned the fruit a bit, but the learning continues 😊
