@blueheart mostly decoration but also to try to keep the roots from staying too wet. I'm still not getting the results I want though, my soil stays wet for way too long. I'm thinking of switching and repotting everything in Napa floor dry.
Succulents are so hardy they will do ok in a less organic mix. As I understand it I would maybe have to fertilize every once in a while but that's about it. I've heard it to be highly recommended plus it's only like 8.99. @blueheart
@beezus @blueheart I was recently introduced to Napa floor dry #8822 by @alovealoe and it's awesome!! @alovealoe told me you must rinse the Napa with water first and then leave a sample in water for 24 hours to make sure it doesn't turn to mush before using it! I got mine for only $4.99🤑😊
@alovealoe I noticed you had some organic material mixed in with some of your Napa. What is that? Is there anything fairly cheap and easy to get you would recommend?
@beezus I start with cactus soil, I really like the brand Black Gold, second is Kelloggs. Then I add pumice, usually black gold brand or eb stone, and then the Napa #8822. The ratios vary depending on which plant I'm potting.
These little California sunsets were only a dollar at Lowe's
@beezus I like the way you have little pebbles around all your succulents. Is that for decoration or do they serve a purpose?

@beezus would that work? I mean there arent any nutrients in it are there?

@blocherr I've been hearing recently that the formula is changed and isn't good anymore? Do you know anything about that?
@beezus that's why you gotta test the product before potting your plants in it
