Perfect timing! This #pink #hibiscus opened up this morning 💕 06/04/19
That's beautiful Alison 💕 @bluefox23
Looks as big as the entire plant! Stunning 😍
I’m so pleased this seems to be doing really well now after a barren few years. @lilybee @kez001uk 😊
Gorgeous colors on this plant!! I have 3 hibiscus
I love them. Will have to get some more 😊 @kaporyash
It’s sooo red. Very pretty. I love them too!! I’m going to try to feed better I did get my Hybiscus all feed for spring with Hybiscus food. They don’t really require many feeding I think just twice a year. But I love how yours gave u such a huge bloom already. Great job🤗🤗😊💕

4th #hibiscus flower (this year). 🌺🥰 #indoorplant #houseplant 06/01/19
Gorgeous Alison...
Lovely deep pink
Can’t believe how many flowers I’ve had on it after a barren period of several years. @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @carolgs @gjones
It’s had a good rest then..it’s done it good..😴😆
Yes Elaine! 🤣 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom I just hope it doesn’t have another long rest before it flowers again!!
That flower looks ginourmous! 😍👍
@jeatacake I think it looks bigger than it is though! 😊
Trick photography?
@jeatacake not intentionally!
Thanks Cyndi @cyndi 😊
Ah! Good to know. @cyndi I'll bear that in mind. 👍🏼

Yay! Another #hibiscus flower. A Boxing Day treat. Can’t believe how many times this has flowered recently and another bud still to open. The most it has flowered for years. 😊🌺 26/12/18
Beautiful 🌸
Oh lovely 😍👌🏼
Thanks @dpkgujar @richard.spicer.7906 😊
Wow beautiful 😍 I love the colour 😊🌺
Thanks @natii it is a lovely flower 😊🌺
So pretty looks great with the blue background. Perfect!!😊💕
Thanks @terrimclaughlin The blue does make the flower colour ‘pop’ out doesn’t it?! 😊
Even better result today 😉👍
Indeed @jeatacake I didn’t think we’d get any points out of last 2 games and we got 6! 🤣 #upthefoxes #lcfc #fearless 🦊🦊🦊
Nice one. Quite a revival recently 👍
@jeatacake Giving Puel a lifeline for now, Jeff!

#hibiscus second flower this year!! 🤗 excuse the poor photo (and untidy windowsill!) but was in a rush and didn’t know if flower would still be around when I got back from work! 02/11/18 #indoorplant #houseplant @kez001uk
Wow that window sill must get some great sunlight. How nice to have a Hybiscus inside 😊💕
Thanks @terrimclaughlin It does get sunshine from first thing to mid afternoon. I was given this as a present about 15 years ago!! 😊🌺
It’s just gorgeous 😍 and they really open so fast! Beautiful Alison ☺️
@bluefox23 this is a truly beautiful photo. I love it. Is this Hibiscus an indoor plant, and is it easy to grow ?
I know! Open so fast and close so quickly too! It is a lovely colour 😊 thanks @kez001uk
@johninbrighton Thanks. I never know how to take a good photo! They just happen accidentally!! 😂 I've always kept it indoors since I was given it as a present. It's quite a thirsty plant and I've neglected it at times but now it's rewarded me with two flowers in the space of a couple of months, I'm determined to look after it better now!! 😊
Thanks @gjones It is such a pretty flower! 😊

My #hibiscus flower has opened. It's the first flower I've had on it for several years. It's gorgeous!! Does anyone know the variety of hibiscus I have? #plantid #plantid-hibiscus 💕💕 11/10/18 #indoorplants #houseplant #pink

It’s gorgeous too! Worth the wait 💕
I hadn't noticed that before, that that emoji was a hibiscus!! 😊 @louisesimpson
@kez001uk I do hope it feels healthy enough to produce flowers a bit more frequently now though!! 😊 🌺
Thanks @cyndi 😊 🌺 I'm so glad this bud opened up
Thanks @gjones 😊 🌺 it's such a vibrant pink
@bluefox23 me neither really didn't even know until you said 😂uncanny x

27/09/18 a new flower bud yay! Some light in a dark week, where my mum has been given a cancer diagnosis. I know many others on here are/have been in similar situations. It sucks!! So feeling very low at the moment but need to remain positive. To top it off, I'm full of flu and feel crap!! Hope this #hibiscus bud does better than the last one which fell off after an aphid attack!
So sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis. Sending good thoughts to both of you 💕💕💕
Thanks @cyndi still waiting for a final plan of action but definitely an operation to remove either part or all of a kidney. No idea what other treatment she'll need after yet. Worrying thing is they've also found something smaller in her other kidney. 😔
Thanks @ublaszko Really hoping an operation will remove it and nothing else needed but it's such a horrible disease. Need to keep myself positive. Hoping gardening can help with that 😊
I hope everything goes well. 💞 Wrap up warm and have a hot tea in the garden 😊
Thanks @ublaszko 😘 can't believe how hot the sun is today ☀️
It's such a difficult time Alison, I love your description cos yes it simply sucks. Hoping all goes well 💞 and I hope we can keep your spirits lifted.
I’m so sorry Alison, you’ll both be in my thoughts 😘 was in your position a year ago and it’s just indescribable but things do get easier, especially when you know the whole picture. Thankfully my mum is ok now and I’ll be willing the same for yours ☺️ if you ever want or need an understanding ear I’m always around ❤️
Thanks @Denise16 I didn't think swearing was appropriate so used the best word I could think of!! 🙂
@kez001uk Sorry to hear about your mum. Glad to hear she is ok. Have lost a close friend and other family members in the past few years as well as a friend who has survived something similar but somehow it's even worse that it's my mum!! Thanks for your kind words 😘
If there ever was a situation where swearing is appropriate this is definitely one of those 😚😚 It's hard when a family member is ill. My mum had serious heart problems 10 years ago and it's still an ongoing issue now but she's learned to manage her illness. In many ways, she's never been as healthy or happy as she is now. There were dark times but it hasn't stopped her from enjoying her life. ☺
@ublaszko thanks again. Life does throw some challenges to say the least!! Glad to hear your mum is enjoying life despite those heart issues 😊 I know once I get over the shock of it all, Ill pull myself together and make sure I'm strong for her and my dad 😊

Meanwhile with happier news . . . After treating plant with a mild soapy solution last week it looks like I might have my first hibiscus flowers for a few years! 🤗 hope I haven’t spoken too soon!! 07/05/18
Hibiscus should flower in full Sun and Moist Soil. However it is Mealybugs suspectible plant hence it is likely to be attacked again. You can continue treatment if you see reoccurence

My hibiscus has not flowered for several years now. I reckon it is over ten years old at least and it used to bloom really well. #advice. I have seen a few of these white bugs, circled. What are they? Are they stopping it flowering? Any #advice-hibiscus #hibiscus welcome.
Check out www.exotic-hibiscus.com there is a good explanation there. @bluefox23
Thanks @euphorbia that's a good website. Think they might be aphids. 😔
@cyndi Thanks. I might try giving it a tiny bit of orchid food and see if it helps! I love the flowers of this hibiscus so really hoping I can get it going again!
My #hibiscus plant is so big now. I love it!
Oh wow 🤩 definitely in a happy place 💚
