#hybiscus she's back from the dead!! Some of you may remember all the leaves turned yellow and fell off! For no reason we could find!🤔 Put her in sick bay and now she's back, even got a bud on it!! Yippee!!!😁

#itsoktofail I posted this when it was losing its leaves, couldn't find anything wrong, so it went to sick bay, sometimes a plant will come back as mysteriously as it got sick and sometimes not~we'll see!!

The braided limbs are beautiful. It looks like some new growth on it......😷🤒 Sick bay seems to be a good spot for it.

@lovestogarden it's make it or break it time!! It does have new growth but every time you move it a lot of that falls off, so I have a hunch that it's not doing to good!😭😢

Seems to me case of Temperature & Soil conditions change. You can do these things to recover it back. First rehydrate the soil by putting the pot in a bucket with about 2" of water. Leave pot for 30 minutes in bucket then return to planter. When the soil is once again moist then you may fertilize. Choose a fertilizer with a low phosphorous value: N (Nitrogen) 20 P (Phosphorous) 5 K (Kalium) 20 is close to perfect

Well keep me posted, I have a tree form hybiscus too. It seems to be doing ok, aphid attacked a few times, but it'll help to have the knowledge. Fingers crossed, good luck.

#hybiscus HELP!!! Why are my leaves turning yellow!? I've never had this happen before!!

Could be a number of things, I have had mine do this, a couple times, could be too much water not enough light

@mamasan yep! Full sun! No bugs! Thats whats so strange ! It was doing fine and blooming untill a few days ago!🤔 it would be too easy apparently if there was a visable sign of something!😂😂😂

Has your weather been too warm for it? If could be changing from the temperature it was kept in before you got it. I have one that does this everytime we have a heat spell, but it never hurts the plant itself.

@lovestogarden actually our weather has been real warm on and off for the last couple of months. I have 3 others almost right next to it doing fab!! Go figure!?🙄

Did u have a lot of rain or was it fed lately sometimes if I overwater mine or when I used to feed it miracle plant food some of my leaves would turn yellow or if I would get ants!! In the pot my leaves will start turning yellow

That has to be my favorite of the hybiscus hope I can some how get one. You can order a lot from Burpee.com maybe I'll try them. About that snake he was behind my house in a big open field I walk my dogs back there but not anymore I'm in San Antonio Texas a few years ago we killed about a 4 foot female rattle snakes. Lots of snakes in certain areas down here. Gardening can be a challenge because we don't get enough real cold weather to kill things. Love GT
