Family group grazing for #fursday - the Ash trees are 30 years old and so far disease free 🤞🌳🐂
Lovely photo. That's great about the trees, nice and healthy. Let's hope they're set to stay that way 💚💚
Thanks Chris, where did those years go? @midnightgardener
@churchfarmgarden Yes, 30 years is a long time ago 😳💚💚

A pair of Red Kites in our old Ash tree before taking to the skies for the day #wildlifewednesday 🦅
How wonderful to have them so close. I see them regularly but only ever flying 😍
Great shot 😍
They seem to like this particular tree but don't often manage to catch them in it close up. I took the photo quickly before they took off, which they did soon after. We love seeing them spiralling round and they're quite vocal so usually hear them first @pelly @sherrisgarden 🦅
Do you know I've never heard them. Perhaps they are too high? 🤔
Hope you do get to hear them Jane, it's very distinctive. I talk to them when they come down low but that's just me being bonkers 😅 @pelly
So do I and you're definitely not bonkers, I talk to my blackbirds 👍
Wonderful to see, I love whistling to the raptors. @churchfarmgarden we had some Kites released by the RSPB near us.
Morning Sue, what a wonderful sight 😍
Glad it's not just me then @pelly and @thehardygardener. We're not too far from the Chiltern Hills where they released the first batch and they've gradually spread across. They also released some Buzzards in the nature reserve next to us but they're not as entertaining.
We love them Ange @anges it's a mission of mine to get a really good photo of one in flight. My camera on my phone might not be up to it 🤔
We used to see a lot of Buzzards, but there don't seem to be as many this year 🤔
