Not popular with lots of you because it seeds a bit like foxglove and considered to be an invasive weed....... I like them!
It's a bit of a thug in my garden, I have been trying to get rid of it for years.
Very pretty! haven't seen this before
@Mikekally It grows wild here Kim...... the seeds can spread but can easily be weeded so far, doesn’t dominate!

#plantid Help me identify this plant please. It is about 12 inches wide and 18 inches high.
I think it's Green Alkanet @Davidward
@gardengimp thank you Graham...... indeed it is.
@columbiariver it is Laura...... I didn’t realise until seeing them on the verse in our village this afternoon!
@columbiariver yup..... much easier (and more interesting) to work with nature!
@columbiariver ..... and it was the verge, not the verse that I saw them!
You do not want to propagate these Laura 😉 @columbiariver Here, they're taking over every inch of space like weeds. In fact, almost every garden in my neighbourhood has them and they've spread more prolifically than dandelions.
I agree @Davidward my garden is fighting them - do not let them seed!!!! Wonderful for the bees but not great for a cultivated garden it will definitely take over before you’ve had chance to blink!!
A bit of an invasive plant but an important early bloomer for the bees.... moved out of the garden into the meadow next door.🐝
I get this but always pull it out. Thank you for identifying it David.
