A bit of a thug but I pull it all out once it has flowered and it comes back the next year from seeding #blue 💙💙

It drives me crazy. But the bees love it

Been away for a couple of weeks and found some new seedlings in bloom. It fills a gap so no complaints. Will pull It all out in autumn #blue 💙

Oh no ! The dreaded Alkanet is back lol. I pull it all up after it has flowered and it reappears the following year. Hubby likes it so it’s here to stay ! 💙💙💙💙

Keep an eye on this it really spreads and takes over. Don't be fooled by flowers. Long root and is difficult to remove.

@kathy in old books it's called 'Evergreen Alkanet' as a contrast to some other Alkanet species which die down over winter. I'm not sure why Evergreen was contracted to Green.

Help me identify this plant. Is this called plumbago please??

It is Green Alkanet (Pentaglottis sempervirens). It's pretty but difficult to keep under control.

Ah thanks @tiggrx. I don't like it's stems they are prickly!!😁
