Help me identify this plant!! Its extremely vivacious and always threatens to over take the pathway - i've tried to dig it out but it must have very deep roots as has come back, it has spiky leaves and stems that contain an irritant and leave people scratching but the bees seem to love it!

It is Green Alkanet I've spent a number of years eradicating it from the garden it spreads like wild fire 🔥 found not letting the flowers going to seed stopped it spreading and as you say the tap roots are very long and awkward to remove .. any bit left will re grow I'm afraid so I have been very persistent with it 👍

Ah ha! That sounds like the fella. Its a nightmare with spreading and I've sort of given up with trying to get rid of it and more trying to contain it!! Thanks everyone! ☉😊

To get someone's attention eg to reply or ask a Q or say thanks, you need to put an @ in front of their name so they get a notification eg @BrightColours Because this is your post you get a notification every time someone likes or comments, regardless of whether they tag you or not. 😊
