Purchased two red dahlia pom pom bulbs in wilkies sale 75p 😊 a few weeks ago. I haven't grown dahlias from bulb before not sure if I am giving them too much water/ not enough water.. But yayyy I can see a shoot.. Think it's the dahlia?.. Really excited to see how this grows (if it survives) ❤️🌿 come on little pom pom keep growing ❤️💕 #shoot #newlife #dahlia #redpompom 😊

I saw the sale but all the bulbs in our Wilkos were bone dry 😕

These were rather dry but wasn't sure if that's the way they are? but still within planting season so just took a chance.. Can only see a shoot from one so far.. Never grown them and put one in each pot was hoping for a matching pair of pots lol @ublaszko

If it's hot out and in a container... I would water them every day. Keep just slightly moist. Dahlias dont like a lot of water....too much is devastating to them. If they were in ground the soil should have been moist enough from spring rain to moisturize it. Technically you shouldn't water until you see new shoots sprouting. #how-to-grow-dahlia-bulbs
