Had to move it inside so it would survive temperatures below 50 degrees. Seems to like where it is. Lots of sunlight in the south facing windows

I think this #venus-fly-trap is going to make it through winter just fine

This flytrap is so small to begin with #macro is awesome 😎 I say, close enough to see the very tiny trigger hairs
Looks like a drag queens eye makeup. Lol 😂
Lol @philstalder I guess it does it’s only as big as my pinky nail
Amazing macro. 💕😊

My #carnivores #venus-fly-trap with a bunch of new little #traps #newgrowth #bestof2020
So these need water too!? (Really, I know they do) Water and fresh meat, could almost be human. Really tho, do they need to be fed bugs if they don't catch any?
There very good at attracting the bugs all by themselves @lesliecole49 and they need rain water or distilled water. There native soil is poor. Misting is good too they really like humidity

Love it!! I want one of these! Also I didn’t know @saguaro was your daughter. 💓
I had one but it died.
@yogi2 Venus flytrap go dormant in the winter and die off. It should come back in the spring 🥰
Ok.
Looks good @docthrill it’s going to like the peat gravel in the tray of water. Mist it a bunch as well.
I will Sarah @saguaro
@camilio81 Sarah @saguaro is my daughter and the reason I’m a GardenTager today
@docthrill I love that.

My daughter Sarah @saguaro and her boyfriend Josh bought this #flytrap for me. So excited, I’ve been wanting one for a while. Carnivores plants are my new interest.
Do u have a pitcher plant yet? I love them although mine doesnt seem to catch anything. Maybe hes a vegetarian lol
I need serious tips on carnivorous plants... I have yet to keep any alive 😭
@demeterstouch is good with carnivorous plants (if i remember correctly) -- give her a follow
I do have a pitcher plant @heatherdirtyhands I’ve had one for a month or so now. It lost the pitchers it started with but now has more. I’ll post it
I know very little about carnivores plants @rosechilders101 I’m just starting. I do know they like green house environment and flytraps needs distilled water and live bugs
Thank you @sushiwaitress Ruth I do follow her. I remember a lot of aquatic plants and a salamander, but don’t remember carnivores plants
she has a lot of sundews and pitcher plants
Oh I remember it now!
I’ll take a look @sushiwaitress
@rosechilders101 carnivorous plants like lots of humidity and fed once a week. I spray mine several times a day and have it in an open terrarium, sitting in rocks and a tray with water underneath the terrarium. You don’t want it air tight, because it needs to breathe They also generally like being outdoors, but I have my flytrap indoors. You can see it further down in my posts. Swipe left to see other photos without scrolling forever 😅 Hope that helped a little. Also distilled water is a must.
Also no fertilizer
So when your #venus-fly-trap kick the bucket. Don’t compose it. It will come back when warm weather comes around again.
