Please help, I took this guy, (there are 2 more like him, but not cut in half), out of their soil because I thought they were dead. Long story, but the short is some constructuon crew of dipshits knocked them out of their pot and ripped the root hairs off. Are there any hope for these guys? There was one other one that I cut open and it looked like it's new leaves were still alive.

yep, there's still hope. Plant them back in a #grittymix soil that doesn't soak up much water. Mist the base of the plant daily or every other day -- you want the soil moist but not soaking, and make sure the pot has drainage so water doesn't pool up in the bottom. In about a month or 6 weeks the roots should regrow. I did it with mine. I'll tag you on some photos.
