@ellenmarygardening welcome onboard my lovely. Love the contrast black bamboo provides against light colours. Must be in a sunny spot as sunlight turns the stems black. Less sun, less vibrant black.

Ooooo this is fabulous isn't it! It took me a while to get sorted on here. Yep it's in a gorgeous sunny spot, planted it out for a client a few weeks back but just went back to take some photos & finish up this week. It's an 'urban jungle' so can't wait to see it next year in all its glory 😊

Looks good I have alot of bamboo in my garden but not the black variety I think I will put this on my to buy list for 2016

We have a couple of clumps the one in full sun is black but unfortunately the other gets a bit too much shade
