I love black bamboo so much!
Is that how you propagate- looks dead to me 🤔
I was moving one of my rainwater barrels which was next to it & there were loads of new shoots (with roots) underneath it. I cut them off & potted them up to see if they grow on. 9 in all! @KOutdoors
Me too & they make for excellent strong canes for using with runner beans etc @emch
I'm not sure it's the way you'd normally do it. It's a bit of an experiment really, but they're very much alive under their dry outer coverings @sharonhayden
