Bestie and her sister made Loquat jam last night and brought me the seeds. Planting them now!! 6-8 years is a long process for Japanese plum parties, so asked if we could graft some branches from her tree to move the Loquat Shenanigans along. The jam is ahhhhhmazzzzzing!! 😍😍#edibles, #loquat

sounds awesome, I tried a loquat for the first time last season and loved them. I didn't want to wait that long either for a tree of my own to produce, so good luck with grafting and lmk how it goes...

@dfresh1433 Ive lived here all my life and used to eat them by the bushel, along with mangoes, at a nursery I worked at when I was a kid. I'm LOVING your posts, and am on the hunt for that Cocktail Foraging book you posted. Keep the pics coming. Love our Florida flora!!

I grew a loquat tree from seed three years ago and I finally got fruit on it this year. My friend gave me a bucket of the plums last year and I made jam too. It was good but it was a lot of work taking the seeds out to make it. I don't think I'll do it again. I may put them in a juicer and make wine next time.

@dfresh1433 I was just wondering the same about you and assumed you were up by Ocala National Forest possibly? I'm in St. Pete, but soon to be headed near my old stomping ground in Lee County. (SW)
