Fabulous colour Pearl ❤️❤️

I love it @juliesgarden 👍

There’s a few of these in our village....very striking colours..

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom they do tend to sucker but can be controlled. I have a few smaller ones further along from this one 😍

I love the odd flowers too...

So do the birds Elaine @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Such a great shrub. Not too high growing and feathery leaves. Does sucker but easily removed. The original one was in a neighbours garden. The one that grew in mine was spectacular until harsh winds broke it. Luckily it had suckered so I had a new one 😂😂

A birds eye view. I love this shrub ❤❤

I've inherited one of these in my back garden @fuschia do you know if they have fruit you can eat!? I agree, it's a beauty 😊

Ooh not that I know of @amyb240288 . Maybe Mr google is required lol, he usually knows. 👍🤣🤣

The fruit of sumacs can be collected, soaked and washed in cold water, strained, sweetened and made into a pink lemonade.[10] The leaves and berries of staghorn sumac have been mixed with tobacco and other herbs and smoked by Native American tribes.[11] This practice continues to a small degree to this day. @amyb240288 👍

Wow..thanks for the info @fuschia that pink lemonade sounds delicious! Could maybe be something to consider 😁

All news to me too lol @amyb240288 😜😜

The birds love the seeds on the stags horn. Yesterday there was a beautiful magpie munching away 😘

Beautiful photo 😆 👍

Fabulous colours! Glad there's food for the birdies 👏🏼😊

😍💖🍁🍂

I would love one of these but have been told they send suckers up everywhere that are hard to remove is that true 😊

@angiecrazycatlady I've had mine about 8yrs and no suckers, there is a plant called Sorbaria which send runners everywhere, its on my plant list on my page 👍

Just love this plant ❤️

That sounds promising then, I will look out for one because not only do they have lovely colours everyone I've seen have such a great shape too 😊

My original one was beautiful great colour and shape. Unfortunately it was damaged by bad winds, it was about 25 years old ! This is a sucker but it is nowhere like the parent. It does sucker but easy to control at least here in Canvey Island lol. We had some come up in the lawn but with regular mowing they were soon eradicated. I love it so I have another sucker coming up but I have cut a couple down as they are in the wrong position @angiecrazycatlady 😍😍😘

Thanks @katgreen @juliesgarden Lots of suckers that I need to get rid of 😩

Oh I remember that well Pearl! Had one of these in my old garden- I loved it but it went all over the place! Such stunning colours though! 👌🏼

Thanks Lin @linfoster @rachelbrooks they came up in the grass but with mowing the lawn they soon disappeared 👍

I love this shrub especially in autumn when the leaves turn red 😊

That's a big plant have you got a big garden @fuschia

It's my front garden @elfin. It goes round two sides of my house. That side is about 4 metres wide that side

They do look quite something when they start to turn in autumn ☺️
The flowers leave seed heads that the birds love
