Quercus robur syn. Quercus pedunculata

Planted a life for a life tree in mums memory today. I know in time it will be something to bring me happiness and fond memories but this past couple of weeks has been horrible. It just brings back all the nasty memories of having to watch cancer strip away a person and how difficult and isolating it is to have to care for someone in palliative care.

A lovely gesture for your Mum. Life throws us some god awful things to deal with and it gets very hard indeed. You were there for her and I'm sure you supported her the best as you could. Sincere regards and I hope you do get a lot of comfort and happy memories whenever you look at the tree.
