I finally have my first Oak Tree!!! I can't wait to plant more trees around our yard. It's way to sunny everywhere. We need shade trees. 😍

This post of words just made me smile. My hometown is named Thousand Oaks, (CA). Literally thousands of oak trees throughout the city. Now, I'll always think about you when I see them. 😀

Funny you say that because we feel the same about them. I spent my entire childhood under/around oak trees. Collecting acorns etc.. A majestic tree fir sure.

@sherrisgarden I can simply imagine a fairy world up in the Oaks, this little baby came from the local botanical garden where they usually mow over them. I will grow it out and get some more and plant them when big enough. 😍

@jeatacake it's currently not on the farm, it's at my mother's shielded from wind and too much sun. We found it under an oaktree at a park. The council just kills them so we took 5 and planted them. 3 survived so far. 😃

It's nice to know (not!) that councils world wide are the same! 😄 Nice healthy looking seedling though 👍
