Did some research on this guy since they can be mistaken for water hemlock ☠️, but it appears I have a large patch of wild elder after all! Looks like I have a pretty nice foundation for my future food forest. #elder #elderflower #elderberry #foraging #foodforest #permaculture

A whopping 112ft above sea level here in Central FL! I'm curious too, my local university agriculture site leads me to believe they'll be black & blue fruit. Looks like there are a few varieties that grow wild around here & lots of warnings about toxicity, so I plan on getting a lot more info before proceeding with anything more than enjoying how pretty they are.
